Days 8–9: Berlin The leadership conference begins as you connect with students and teachers from all over the world in this inspiring and innovative setting. You will learn the design thinking process to develop solutions to global UFDIOPMPHZ issues and be inspired to take action back home. Day 10: Depart for home Transfer to the airport, where you’ll check in for your return flight home.

Ohio School Resource Officers Association presents: Active Shooter: Lessons Learned from Madison High School for SROs and School Administrators Thursday, April 26, 2018 Hilliard Joint Safety Building 5171 Northwest Parkway, Hilliard, Ohio
On February 29, 2016 at Madison Jr./Sr. High School, SRO Kent Hall heard gun shots coming from the school cafeteria. Several students were lying on the floor and one student was sprinting out of the lunch room. Deputy Hall ran after the 14-year-old suspect who later surrendered in a wooded area near the school. Hear from SRO Hall and the School Superintendent concerning what happened that day: What went right, what could have been done differently and valuable lessons learned from that event.

Who Should Attend •
SRO Kent Hall and Superintendent Curtis Philpot will discuss that day from both the law enforcement and the school administration/ community perspective. They will explain the events that took place, how the shooter was caught, what steps were taken to lockdown then evacuate the school, the overwhelming response from other law enforcement agencies, the communication with the parents and the media and the changes that have been made to Madison High school as a result. Plenty of opportunity to ask your questions during the session.
