ESC, the local funding will follow from the current to the new educational service center.

3313.845

Districts with enrollments larger than 16,000 students may elect not to receive supervisory services from the educational service center so long as that election is part of the agreement between the client and the ESC. Additional services provided under the agreement and the amount to be paid for such services shall be mutually agreed to by the district board of education and the service center governing board, and shall be specified in the agreement. While there is no deadline for notifying the department of education, the agreement is valid only if a copy is filed with the department. When a local or exempted village school district contains within its territory the major portion of a village which has been advanced to a city, a majority of the board of education of that district may vote to become a city school district, effective with the next succeeding first day of July. If a small portion of the territory of the village advanced to a city is within the boundaries of another school district, there is no automatic transfer of the territory of the second school district to the first. Each board of education is required to adopt a resolution describing how the district will address college and career readiness and financial literacy for grades seven and eight (and for any other grades that the board deems appropriate). The board is required to submit a copy of the resolution to the Ohio department of education. A board of education shall grant a diploma to anyone completing the curriculum and successfully completing the College and Work-Ready Assessment System (CWRAS), which has replaced the Ohio Graduation Tests (OGT) for students entering ninth grade for the first time prior to July 1, 2014. The OGT may not be administered to any first-time takers after July 1, 2015.

One-half of the CWRAS consists of seven end-of-course (EOC) exams: English language arts I, English language arts II, science, Algebra I, geometry, American history and American government. A student enrolled in an Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, or other advanced standing course must take the exams for those courses in lieu of the physical science, American history, or American government EOC exams. However, students may not take any substitute exam in place of the English language arts I, English language arts II, Algebra I, or geometry EOC exams.

The state board is required to consider additional assessments that might be used, beginning in the 2016-2017 school year, as substitute
